A Message from our Library Stewardship
Bringing in the books
Updated February 2021
As part of our task of reaching the world through preaching His Word, among our hopes is that we continue to be a church that upholds the Bible and ever allowing God's Word to form and guide our faith & practice, finding its expression in our church ministries. One way for us to accomplish this is by investing and sharing what available resources we have for the edification of the church.
Since 2020, every member in our local church can now access and browse through our small but growing collection of commentaries, Bible study guides, theological works, devotional literature, and others that will aid you and me as we altogether press on, facing our local church's calling of reaching the world through preaching His Word.
This will not just be for our pastors and ministry leads, Bible study facilitators & small group leaders; this will be available for every member of our local church.
While relatively small, our collection of more than1,000 books in online circulation ranges from different commentaries across the books of the Bible, to key theology resources, to classic Christian literature across the centuries, to biographical accounts of church fathers, pastors & missionaries, to resources for more practical applications (such as leadership, apologetics, discipleship, family, work, relationships, finances, daily living), and Bible devotionals for personal & family worship.
We hope that our small treasury of books would be a blessing to you as we continue to proclaim the richness of His truth, until the day comes when "the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea" (Hab. 2:14).

He [the apostle Paul] is inspired, and yet he wants books! He has been preaching at least for thirty years, and yet he wants books! He had seen the Lord, and yet he wants books! He had had a wider experience than most men, and yet he wants books! He had been caught up into the third heaven, and had heard things which it was unlawful for a man to utter, yet he wants books! He had written the major part of the New Testament, and yet he wants books!
The apostle says to Timothy and so he says to every preacher, "Give thyself unto reading." ... Brethren, what is true of ministers is true of all our people. You need to read. You may get much instruction from books which afterwards you may use as a true weapon in your Lord and Master's service. Paul cries, "Bring the books"—join in the cry.
- Charles Spurgeon, from Sermon No. 542 based on 2 Timothy 4:13: "Paul- His Cloak and His Books"
