Our Vision
To be ambassadors of the Lord Jesus Christ where true believers and servants of God continually strive for excellence and quality ministry to build God’s kingdom in the Philippines and other parts of the world.
Our Mission
Compelled by the love of God, JICC commits to be a lighthouse of prayer, commissioned to lead people to Christ Jesus and membership into His family and develop Christ-like maturity by equipping for the ministry of the church and for the mission in the world in order to magnify the Lord’s Name.
Our Statement of Beliefs
Joy in Christ Church declares and believes:
Joy in Christ Church also upholds the Baptist Faith and Message of 2000.
- In one GOD, eternally existing in three persons – God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, alone to be worshipped and served;
- In the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who was born of a virgin (Matthew 1:20-24), lived a sinless life (Hebrew 9:23-28), died a substitutionary death on the cross for us in our stead, buried and rose bodily from the dead. Ascended to the right hand of the Father, He will return to earth to judge the living and the dead.
- In God, the Holy Spirit, sent by God the Father and Son of God to work among mankind in our time, bringing conviction of sin and indwelling in all believers, enabling them to live a godly life to obey God’s word, and to witness to the world the saving grace of God.
- That the Bible, as originally given, is the inspired, inerrant, and entirely trustworthy Word of God to man, and is, therefore, the complete and final authority in all matters of faith and conduct;
- That all mankind has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23) and therefore deserves the punishment of a just God (Romans 6:23); and that because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential for salvation (John 3:7).
- That everyone who turns to Christ in repentance and faith is justified free from sins by the grace of God, and has eternal life;
- In the one holy universal Church which is the Body of Christ to which all true believers belong.
- That in the end, the bodies of all men will be raised from the dead, the believers to life everlasting, and the unbelievers to eternal damnation.
- That each church is independent and autonomous and must be free from interference by any ecclesiastical or political authority: and
- That the church and state must be kept separate as having different functions, each fulfilling its duties free from the dictates and patronage.
